Bangarang is the fifth EP by American electronic music producer Skrillex. It was released on December 23, 2011 exclusively via Beatport while being released on other digital retailers on December 27, 2011. It was released on January 24, 2012 as a physical CD. It was announced via Skrillex's Twitter page on December 12, 2011 that the EP was completed, while the release date was also announced on December 21.
The EP is mostly a collection of songs that have been previously performed during The Mothership Tour (with the exception of "Right on Time"). It features collaborations with The Doors, Sirah, Wolfgang Gartner, 12th Planet, Kill the Noise and Ellie Goulding. Musically, Bangarang has multiple influences of electro house, dubstep and progressive house, while also incorporating elements of trance, drum and bass, rap rock, experimental rock and ska. It features syncopated rhythmic build-ups, technical breakdowns and "chopped-up" vocal hooks, as well as multiple vocal samples. De-Loused in the Comatorium is the debut studio album by American progressive rock band The Mars Volta, released on June 24, 2003, on Gold Standard Laboratories and Universal Records. Based on a short story written by lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and sound manipulation artist Jeremy Michael Ward, the concept album is an hour-long tale of Cerpin Taxt, a man who enters a week-long coma after overdosing on a mixture of morphine and rat poison. The story of Cerpin Taxt alludes to the death of El Paso, Texas artist — and Bixler-Zavala's friend — Julio Venegas (1972–1996).

The music contained in De-Loused is distinguished by its enigmatic lyrics, Latin and jazz rhythms, and Omar Rodríguez-López's frenetic guitar riffs, which are often strongly dissonant. The title of this album is taken from the lyrics of the song "Eunuch Provocateur" on the band's previous release, Tremulant. The cover artwork is by Storm Thorgerson. -Wikipedia

Liquid Tension Experiment 2 is the second and final studio album by instrumental rock/progressive metal supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment, released on June 15, 1999 through Magna Carta Records. The album reached No. 8 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums chart and No. 40 on Billboard's Heatseekers.
Each song is described by the band in detail within the liner notes. Bassist Tony Levin almost exclusively used a Chapman Stick to record the album's bass parts. The only 'real' bass guitar appears on the faux-accordion/reggae section of "Another Dimension"; Levin also used a fretless bass for the intro to "Biaxident", which takes its name from Biaxin, a medicine that guitarist John Petrucci was taking during the recording sessions to combat severe headaches, as well as being a play on "by accident". -Wikipedia

Liquid Tension Experiment is the self-titled first studio album by instrumental rock/progressive metal supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment, released on March 10, 1998 through Magna Carta Records. The group was composed of Dream Theater bandmembers John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess and Mike Portnoy, as well as bassist Tony Levin.
Track six, "Chris and Kevin's Excellent Adventure", is named after the photo sessions for the album in which the photographer kept calling Portnoy "Chris" and Levin "Kevin", whilst "Three Minute Warning" refers to Levin's frustration with his bandmates' insistence on composing rather than spontaneous jamming, and thus his ultimatum to leave the studio within three minutes unless they started to jam. Additionally "State of Grace" samples from Maoz Tzur (Rock of Ages), an Ancient Jewish song typically sung around Hanukkah. -Wikipedia

Blackstar (stylised as ★) is the twenty-fifth and final studio album by English musician David Bowie. It was released worldwide through Bowie's ISO Records label on 8 January 2016, Bowie's 69th birthday and just two days before his death. The title track was released as a single on 19 November 2015 and was used as the opening music for the television series The Last Panthers."Lazarus" was released on 17 December 2015 as a digital download and received its world premiere on BBC Radio 6 Music's Steve Lamacq Show the same day. Blackstar is an avant-garde jazz,art rock,and experimental rock album. According to producer Tony Visconti, it was inspired by rapper Kendrick Lamar with his 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly, with electronic duo Boards of Canada and experimental hip-hop trio Death Grips also being cited as influences.^[18][19] Visconti also said that Bowie had planned for it to be his swan song or "parting gift" for his fans before his death, which took place two days after the album's release.
