Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network's late night programming block Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of Rick Sanchez, a cynical mad scientist, and his fretful, easily influenced grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic family life and interdimensional adventures. Roiland voices the series' eponymous characters, with the voice talent of Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Sarah Chalke providing the rest of the family. It premiered on December 2, 2013.
The series originated from an animated short parody film of Back to the Future created by Roiland for film festival Channel 101. Adult Swim approached Harmon for television show ideas, and he and Roiland developed the program based on the short, replacing Doc with Rick and Marty with Morty. In January 2014, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on July 26, 2015. In August 2015, Adult Swim renewed the series for a 14-episode third season, which premiered unannounced on April 1, 2017, with the rest of the season scheduled to air during the summer. The track "Time for Bedlam" was released via YouTube and Spotify on 14 December 2016 and "All I Got Is You" followed on 10 March 2017. The album contains a bonus DVD entitled "From Here to Infinite".

Akira is a 1988 Japanese science fiction anime film directed by Katsuhiro Otomo, produced by Ryōhei Suzuki and Shunzō Katō and written by Otomo and Izo Hashimoto, based on Otomo's manga of the same name.
The film depicts a dystopian, cyberpunk-based Tokyo in 2019, focusing on teenage biker Tetsuo Shima and his leader, Shotaro Kaneda. Because of Tetsuo's superpowers, Kaneda, resistance terrorist Kei, Colonel Shikishima of the JSDF and a trio of espers, attempt to prevent Tetsuo from releasing the imprisoned psychic, Akira. While most of the character designs and settings were adapted from the manga, the plot differs considerably and prunes much of the last half of Akira.
